Back of the Yards Neighborhood: 1054 W 51st Street
Join with residents from across Chicago to celebrate 5 years of persistent work to build 2000 affordable single family homes across the South and West sides of Chicago. See 28 homes under construction. Push the City to increase its commitment and do more.
REGISTER AND TAKE THE BUS FROM ALL SAINTS
Lunch at All Saints before the event at approx. 1 pm.
Take the bus from All Saints to the South side and return after the Action. Buses will board at approx. 2-2:30 pm.
Parking: The parking option closest to the action site is street parking. There is parking lot available at Precious Blood’s campus, 5114 S Elizabeth. It is a 6 minute walk from the Precious Blood site to the vacant lot.
Confirmed public officials: Mayor Johnson, Senator Lakesia Collins, Rep Yolonda Morris and Alderwoman Taylor. Governor Prtizker is still TBD.
Prepare for the weather: Please make sure they have comfortable shoes. We will have limited seating. And dress accordingly for the heat/rains, etc.
