For a dozen years, All Saints’ has enjoyed a unique relationship with congregations in Mexico led by Padre Bayron Chanchavac. Parishioners have visited the churches where Padre Bayron has served as the priest, and he has visited All Saints’. You can read about the extent of our relationship here.
Because of the pandemic, Padre Bayron’s visit to All Saints’ this past spring had to be postponed. Earlier this year, the two churches he serves, San Pablo in Cuernavaca and Santísima Trinidad in the suburb of Acatlipa, closed their doors and moved their services online in response to COVID-19. The impact on the finances of San Pablo and Santisima Trinidad has been significant. Our Mexico Outreach celebration on October 18 surpassed our goal to raise $5,000 to support Padre Bayron’s tireless work to develop the potential of these two congregations. Thank you for your generosity!
For our sermon on Mexico Outreach Sunday, we were delighted to bring these greetings from Padre Bayron.
