We Are All Neighbors
All Saints is honored to show up, pray, raise money, develop friendships, and deepen partnerships with our neighbors in South Sudan.
All Saints has longstanding partnerships in multiple eastern and southern African countries (not just South Sudan) because we understand that “neighbor” does not equal geographic proximity, but rather is an indication of our shared humanity.
We continue to partner with Nile High School in Arua, Uganda, which is near the southern border of South Sudan and receives many refugees. We also have long-standing partnerships with individuals in Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania, where we help pay for tuition and living expenses so they can be a light to others in their community.
The Renk Diocese in South Sudan is one of two companion dioceses to the Episcopal Church in Chicago. St. Peter’s of Geiger has been our official partner church for years. Archbishop Joseph Garang, archbishop of Upper Nile Internal Province of ECSS visits All Saints whenever he is in the United States.
The Diocese of Renk is one of 54 dioceses in the Province of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan (ECSS). The province was created in 2017 to reflect the separation of South Sudan from Sudan in 2011.
Annual Bake Auction
One of the consistent ways we support our friends and neighbors in South Sudan is through the annual All Saints Bake Auction.
Our children ages 9 to 12 play a vital role in this exciting event. Funds go towards educational, medical, agricultural, economic development projects, and much-needed essentials for our dear friends and partners in South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, and other Eastern African countries.
