The first All Saints service I attended with my husband Ken Jones and my baby Linnea was the Children’s Christmas Service in 2003. The joy, beauty, and faith of this little church combined with its quirkiness (and chaos) was striking. Suddenly Ken and I, who hadn’t been to church in years, were coming to church every Sunday. All Saints welcomed mewithout judgment, and being part of this community has made me a better mother, partner, and person. I’ve been involved in many ways at All Saints—Mexico Outreach, cake auctions, Ravenswood Runs, Open House Chicago, and countless coffee hours. I also served on the board of Ravenswood Community Services. Now that my children are (mostly) grown, I have the time to make a deeper commitment to All Saints by serving on vestry.
